Regulation is a skill. We help you teach it.

Before a child can learn, they have to feel safe. We help families, schools, and districts build that foundation with occupational, physical, and speech therapy, early intervention, and staff training. Serving the Inland Empire, virtually and in person.

Dr. Danielle Orefice Delorenzo, OTD, OTR/L, IMH RYT-200

Co-owner · Occupational Therapist · Researcher · Adjunct Professor

For more than 25 years, Danielle has worked at the intersection of occupational therapy, mindfulness, movement, and mental health - in clinical practice, in higher education, and alongside school districts. Her focus is translating research into strategies people can actually use.

She serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Occupational Therapy Program at California State University, Dominguez Hills, teaching School-Based Occupational Therapy and Wellness in Occupational Therapy. Through Mindfulness in mOTion she mentors the next generation of clinicians directly, providing Level I, Level II, and Doctoral Capstone fieldwork experiences.

That mentorship produces results. A recent capstone student under her supervision was awarded the CFOT Bonita Kraft Grant to build an inclusive community art program at Mindfulness in mOTion. The program succeeded and went on to receive additional funding from the Redlands Art Association to sustain and expand its work in the community.

Danielle holds a Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Philadelphia University, and a Certificate in Infant Mental Health from Chatham University. She also holds an AOTA Fieldwork Educator Certificate and is certified in Adult Mental Health First Aid. She is a published author, keynote speaker, and registered yoga teacher.

As both clinician and educator, she builds learning environments where students feel challenged, supported, and inspired. She believes genuine connection, curiosity, and a little humor make the strongest foundation for learning - whether the conversation is about evidence-based practice or the latest from Doctor Who, Disney, or Star Wars.

A mindful, compassionate educator who supports all students, always.

Mindfulness in mOTion was founded in 2020 by two educational occupational therapists who believe in an inclusive world. We build mindfulness and movement into everyday life to support self-regulation, learning, and emotional regulation across the lifespan — through a neurodiversity-affirming practice that prioritizes connection over compliance. Our mission is to reform education through the practice of mindfulness and movement.

My (pronounced /ME/)has spent a decade practicing occupational therapy across the full range of settings — inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, general education, special day classes, and home and hospital instruction.

At Rialto Unified School District, she delivered evidence-based treatment targeting sensory processing, executive functioning, and visual and fine motor skills, and trained special education teachers, general education teachers, and support staff across the district in mindfulness and movement, executive functioning strategies, RtI approaches, and sensory supports for transition-aged youth. Earlier, through the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, she served two districts as an independent contractor and supervised Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.

She assesses children from birth through age 21 and conducts Independent Educational Evaluations. Through Mindfulness in mOTion, she leads early intervention services for birth to three, preschool program development for local districts, and curriculum design that embeds social-emotional learning into occupational therapy. She has built Mindful Wellness Spaces in elementary, middle, and high schools, at local and national conferences, in private clinics, and

in an orphanage.

My holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from

American International College, a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University San Bernardino, and an Assistive Technology Applications Certificate from California State University Northridge. Her mission is a healthier, more inclusive world built through education, collaboration, and empowerment.

EDUCATE | COLLABORATE | EMPOWER

What does it mean to be a neurodiversity affirming and inclusive company? It means we create a community of practice that prioritizes connection over compliance model. We aim to EDUCATE, COLLABORATE, AND EMPOWER individuals by focusing on using a strength-based model, supporting the individual's autonomy (both independence and interdependence), and most importantly, everything we do is client-centered and child-led!
