Dr. Danielle Orefice Delorenzo, OTD, OTR/L, IMH RYT-200
Co-owner · Occupational Therapist · Researcher · Adjunct Professor
For more than 25 years, Danielle has worked in occupational therapy, mindfulness, movement, and mental health across clinical practice, higher education, and school districts. Her focus is translating research into strategies people can actually use.
She serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Occupational Therapy Program at California State University, Dominguez Hills, teaching School-Based Occupational Therapy and Wellness in Occupational Therapy. Through Mindfulness in mOTion, she mentors the next generation of clinicians directly by providing Level I, Level II, and Doctoral Capstone fieldwork experiences.
One recent capstone student under her supervision received the CFOT Bonita Kraft Grant to build an inclusive community art program at Mindfulness in mOTion. The program succeeded and received additional funding from the Redlands Art Association to sustain and expand its work in the community.
Danielle holds a Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Philadelphia University, and a Certificate in Infant Mental Health from Chatham University. She also holds an AOTA Fieldwork Educator Certificate and is certified in Adult Mental Health First Aid. She is a published author, keynote speaker, and registered yoga teacher.
As both clinician and educator, she builds learning environments where students feel challenged, supported, and inspired. She believes genuine connection, curiosity, and a little humor make the strongest foundation for learning, from conversations about evidence-based practice to the latest from Doctor Who, Disney, or Star Wars.
A mindful, compassionate educator who supports all students, always.
